The Bedtime Tag

I've been wanting to get involved in a tag I love the sound of for a long time now, mostly because I'm hella nosy, and reading them is fab. So when Rebecca from Meadow Daisy tagged me in this I couldn't say no. I mean, bedtime is my favourite time of the day. Okay okay, second to nap time. But honestly, is there anything better than knowing you have nothing left to do for the rest of the night other than sleep? Also, yes, I'm totally wearing socks with Mr Burns on in the top picture (Primark FYI).

In the past bedtimes have been rough for me. I've been through patches of finding getting to sleep gruelling, and staying asleep even worse (I'm still working on that one). For the most part though, sleep time is a good time. It's a chance to refresh, get super cosy, and one of the few moments that I spend with my partner without any distractions from technology.

Let's get on to the questions!

1.) Describe your usual bedtime routine.
I really feel as though I've nailed this over the past year, and it's made my sleep so much better. First I brush my teeth (obvs), then I wash my face to get rid of the day's makeup - at the moment I'm using Korres' Olympus Tea cleansing foam*, which I've spoken in detail about recently here. Then I head upstairs, put my PJs on, and get snuggled under the covers. I pop a little bit of overnight cream on, again at the moment I'm using a Korres one - this time their Castanea Arcadia night cream*. Finally, I hunker down with my kindle and read until I'm too tired to read anymore. This post isn't sponsored, but I was sent these products. They are what I'm genuinely using and loving at the moment.

2.) What are your favourite pajamas?
This is SUCH an easy one, because I totally own a Disney tsum tsum onesie. Yup. It's got a hood, it's covered in tsum tsums and it's roomie enough to be hella comfy: it's the dream. I actually feel like I'm lacking in other PJs at the moment, so I'd love to hear where everyone would recommend looking for new ones!

3.) What is your current bedtime read?
I kinda have two. I'm one of *those* people. On my kindle I'm reading 'The Hate U Give' which is heartbreaking and astounding and you should all read it. On the flip side, I'm re-reading 'Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire' as an actual book. Both are fab, but THUG is definitely a much more important book.

4.) What would I find on your bedside table?
Honestly, a whole load of clutter. But mostly a lamp shaped like a globe (in case I fancy a bit of late night geography ya know?), my Lumie light, my glasses and some moisturiser.

5.) What scent makes you feel sleepy?
I'm gonna be boring here and have to say lavender. Pop me in a bath filled with LUSH's Twilight bath bomb, and I'm feeling so zen I could fall asleep anywhere. Also, although buying it made me feel a little elderly, Pecksniffs do an amazing Lavender and White Tea linen spray that makes your bedsheets smell so good. And it's a fraction of the original price if you pick it up in Homesense.

6.) What is your usual bedtime and wake up time?
I usually go to bed between 10:30 and 11 and wake up somewhere around 6:45 and 7. Living life on the edge, I know.

7.) What are your top three bedtime products?
Definitely my Korres night cream that I've already mentioned, but also my Soap and Glory Heel Genius foot butter because it does wonders and smells incredible. Third would have to be my lumie light, because waking up with that makes mornings so much more bearable!

8.) What is your most common sleeping position?
I'm a very active sleeper, but I probably spend the most time sleeping on my back. I find it so comforting; it's the easiest position for me to get to sleep in.

9.) Do you have anything you take to bed with you?
Yes! I have a little stuffed seal that my boyfriend got me when we first started dating, and a big ol' fleece blanket because night times are chilly!

10.) What is your worst bedtime habit?
Getting so into a book on my kindle that before I know it I've been reading for far longer than I should have and I'm going to have regrets tomorrow. Fo sure.

I LOVE reading these posts because it's totally a good chance to have a nose into someone else's life let's be real. I'm going to tag some of my faves below:

- Aimee from Aimee Raindrop Writes because she's my absolute blogging bestie
- Nikki from Love Laughs Lipstick because I just know her answers would be HILARIOUS
- Nicole from A Beautiful Chaos because I'd love to hear about what she's reading at the mo!

  6. A TSUM TSUM ONESIE?! Okay so i need to know where that is from! Girlie you need to head to primark for PJs, their harry potter collection is insane and they're actually so comfy. Next also do well on the festive front :)

I currently love flicking through the illustrated HP edition, admittedly i'm struggling with my current "new read" book. It was hailed as the next Gone Girl, but i'm not convinced! Do you have any recommendations?

    1. I *think* it came from the Disney store, but it was a present. I'm going to have to head to Primark and Next this week to see what they have to offer!
