Reading in Heels March Subscription Box

Reading in Heels March Subscription Box

I'm officially full on obsessed with monthly sub boxes from Reading in Heels. They've become my £10 pay day treat, and I look forward to them so much each month. For a tenner (plus £2.40 P&P) you get a book and three or four goodies to go with it, that are loosely themed for each box. Last month's box was all about Valentines, and this time around it's focusing on Spring.

This month's book

Isn't the cover of this just absolutely beautiful? It's one of my favourite book covers I've seen in a long time, and the spine is stunning. I'm SO proud to have this sitting on my bookshelf. Also the v cute bookmark that you can see poking out of the top photo is a Dorkface one, and you can find her etsy here

This debut novel is all about a small neighbourhood in Mexico City. It's a story about a 12-year-old girl struggling to deal with the loss of her younger sister, who sows seeds in her garden, and learns about the lives of the people in the other four houses surrounding the same courtyard her house does. It's a story about life and family and loss and grief. It sounds heartwarming and I am in need of a book that makes me feel all warm and fuzzy whilst educating me and making me sad first. I need that catharsis in my life right now, ya know?

The goodies

The treat that I'm most excited about in this month's box is the little packet of flower seeds. We're moving next month, and I'm saving these to sow in our new garden. The seeds have been selected as ones that bees love, and helping our fuzzy little friends out is something I'm genuinely passionate about.

Alongside the seeds, there were a couple of little foodie bits. First up are some Lavolio nutty mini eggs, which I'm gutted I can't try because my partner has a nut allergy. The packaging for this is very pretty, and I'll be taking them down to give to my sister next time I see her. The two Supertea sachets are something that I will be using though. I'm a big herbal tea fan, and I love trying out new varieties, so whilst the organic mint green tea one will be my fave, I'll still give the liquorice fennel one a go.

The last treat is the advanced renewal cream from Malin and Goetz. This smells divine, and actually reminds me of the Champneys heavenly days range. It's targeted at removing fine lines, and helping to restore skin's natural elasticity. Although I'm not too into anti-aging products, I love things that promise to hydrate my skin, which is exactly what this does.

I'm ready for April's one now!
