Average girl size fashion from TU at Sainsburys

Getting summery with clothes from TU at Sainsburys - www.nourishmeblog.co.uk
I've got a secret for you: my summer wardrobe has about three outfits in. Each year I think I'll rectify this, and each year it gets to the hottest part of summer and I've realised I've failed to do anything about it. Again.

A few weeks ago I was in desperate need of a suitable dress to wear to a family event. I scoured all the high street shops (Topshop, Primani, New Look, H&M etc etc) and realised that life would be grand if jumpsuits didn't make me resemble a shapeless potato, or if I wanted to have weird parts of the back/stomach/shoulders/arms cut out of the dress. But alas.

At my wit's end, I remembered Hannah Gale talking about some cute Sainsburys dresses, so I headed there and as it turns out they had SO MUCH BEAUTIFUL STUFF?? Sainsburys surprisingly absolutely came through for me and I was totally wowed. I had no issues with their sizing being out of whack (looking at you H&M), the clothes felt like they were good quality and they were so reasonably priced. I'm pretty sure I'm on to a winner here.

Multicoloured floral wrap dress (£25.00)

I've never owned a wrap dress before but wow I need to fill my entire wardrobe with these?? This was so comfy, kept me as sweat free as possible and it's completely adjustable. You can tie it up at the side a lot less tight if you need to, and I definitely could have sized down if I wanted to because of this (I'm wearing a size 16). The sizes range from an 8 to a 22, which is so much more inclusive than some high street stores.

This dress was exactly what I needed for a slightly fancy family event. I know it's going to be something I come back to time and time again for anything similar, and it would make a great wedding guest outfit.

Daisy print dress (£14.00)

My lack of summer clothing is a complete pain when I want to go out and be sociable, but also when I'm in the house and it's too damn hot for my normal wardrobe. This lil dress is floaty and free and soft and just perfect for when I want to flounce around doing chores, or kick my feet up to watch some TV. Plus I can totally see me putting some thick tights under this with my chunky boots to head out in Autumn. Yaaaaas.

Lemon print bardot top (£16.00)

There's something about bardot tops that just makes me feel absolutely sexy and on my A-game. They make me feel confident, sassy and ready to tackle the world.

This one is probably the most summery item in my entire wardrobe. I love how bright and fresh the lemon print is. And don't even get me started on the little sleeve frills ...

This was the perfect outfit to spend a day on the beach in, and I'm going to be wearing it to another family event this weekend. A pair of heels, a high pony and some hoops totally jazz it up to be a little more sophisticated and fancy. And I might *even* iron it for that outing!

  2. Supermarket clothing brands are so underappreciated, they do so many beautiful gems! The first dress really suits you, you can't beat a good mini dress in the summer months.

Hope you're having a great week!
